Blanca came to taproot acupuncture in June 2021 after 3 rounds of IUI that had not been successful.
She wanted help to support the other rounds that were planned.
She was overall very healthy and all labs for her and her partner had come back as normal.
What we did
First we went over nutrition and Blanca stopped drinking caffeine all together. She said that after 2 weeks, she felt calmer and that her energy level was more even throughout the day.
We started on herbal formulas, one for her follicular phase (before ovulation) and one for luteal phase (after ovulation)
She came in the clinic for acupuncture every 2 weeks
Persistence and success
After only 1 month of treatment, she went through a 4th round of IUI.
The amount of follicles had doubled during the baseline checkup (she had not had a change of medication). It was a very good sign that the treatment had a positive effect on her ovarian health.
She felt more relaxed and less anxious
Unfortunately the 4th round still did not take. But Blanca continued her treatment diligently and felt that each period was more peaceful than the previous one. After 3 months total, she underwent her 5th round of IUI and she got pregnant!
She continued to see me throughout a very healthy pregnancy !
