Fertility mindset coaching: less doing, more allowing

When families struggle to conceive, they often search for solutions. What to eat? How to exercise? What supplements to take? Which IVF doctor to go to?

While these are very important topics, there is also one question that is critically ignored:

Are you doing too much?

Gaslighting and Fear mongering in the fertility space

Too many of my patients come to me with a baggage full of

  • fear of failure

  • a ticking clock

  • family pressure, doctor pressure, societal pressure

  • guilt and shame of having a dysfunctional body

  • a "be perfect" to do list of 100 supplements, 10 fertility drugs and affirmations

Even the holistic fertility acupuncturists or coaches out there will feed into your anxiety of trying to be perfect, and give you more homework. Yes, the list of things you can optimize in your life for egg quality is endless.

But is it REALLY productive, when all it does is maximize your anxiety at the same time?

Chinese medicine is all about mind and body connection. You might have heard " mind over matter". Well, according to Chinese medicine, or even the placebo effect, or the meditation and manifestation practices, your mind IS matter.

Yin and Yang: Action versus receptivity. I don't chase, I attract

Don't get me wrong, there are definitely many actions you can take to optimize the vessel you are meant to become. Our website is full of advice on it, and we offer acupuncture treatments as part of this.

Think of the harmony and balance of the universe: Yin and Yang.

Pregnancy is the ultimate yin experience. You are becoming a vessel for a new life. What is a good vessel? A container that receives. "I don't chase, I attract".... rings a bell?

The Chasing: Yang energy, masculine force

Yang is masculine, fire, action, chasing and spreading, analyzing, going to doctors appointment, trying this new fad superfood, tracking your hormones day and night with your smart ring, increasing the dose of Menopur, buying this non toxic laundry detergent etc.

The attracting: Yin energy, feminine force

Yin, is feminine, water, receptivity, flowing, being, letting go, meditating, sleeping, resting, attracting, not thinking about it, having sex when you want to and not when your app tells you to, and so forth.

Do less, be more: the real shadow work

Our society is very solution and action oriented. IVF doctors as well.

Acupuncture and mindset coaching allow you to release control, because ultimately, some of it will always be out of your hands. Relinquishing control, that is the secret.

When you are comfortable with letting go and allow that to flow, this is when magic happens

How many times have you heard the story of that girl who tried for years, just to fall pregnant the first month she "gives up" and allows herself a vacation?

This attitude is contrary to what you most likely have been doing up to the point you end up in my office. So I offer you coaching into the flip side of the coin, which has to be as powerful in order to bring you into harmony.

Acupuncture and coaching can help you train our nervous system into a receptive state.

Give this a try!
